Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk sour cream, milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stir until just mixed (don’t overmix!).
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add shredded cheddar cheese, sweet corn kernels, or chopped jalapeños to the batter before baking. 🌽🔥
